The BodySafe Education Program is an interactive and dynamic program aimed at students between years 9-12 and is carefully aligned with the Australian Curriculum (Health). The program discusses risk taking behaviours and the prevention of spinal cord injury and physical trauma (such as motorcycle and car accidents or risk-taking decisions).

The ParaQuad Association of Tasmania Inc. is a not-for-profit charity and the leading voice within the Tasmanian community for people living with Spinal Cord Injury and physical disability. Our services include the delivery of general information on spinal cord injury, referrals, peer support, access information, advocacy, schools and community education programs.

ParaQuad Tasmania is focused on ability. Its mission is empowering the lives of Tasmanians with Spinal Cord Injury and physical disability by ensuring quality of access and opportunities to participate.

Athlete Development Fund

Physical disABILITY Sports Tasmania was established to provide Tasmanians with physical disability the opportunity to participate in sport at a social, state, national or international level. The Athlete Development Fund was established to support these athletes with direct financial support. Patrick Best (shown racing above) is one such athlete. “The last few years that I’ve raced it was because of the grant, so I’m very grateful and thankful that it’s there.”

Please contact the Sports Development Coordinator for more information: pdst@paraquadtas.org.au
