An exciting time of the year is fast approaching, with the 2025 ParaQuad Tasmania Boccia State Titles coming to Launceston between 7 and 9 March.
Boccia athletes from around Tasmania and interstate will converge on the Elphin Sports Centre for three days of competition.
For anyone who isn’t up with this great sport, the aim of the game is to throw (or roll) leather balls as close as possible to a white target ball, called the jack.

The State Titles have been run by ParaQuad Tasmania for well over a decade, and competitors, ramp assistants, supporters, family and friends have come to know that it’s a fantastic few days.
It really is our signature event,” explains ParaQuad Tasmania CEO Carmel Clark.
“The skills of the athletes are impressive, and watching the development of many of them, over a number of years, is brilliant.”
Individuals will play in four categories, in which they’ve been classified according to their level of ability.
Competition will start from 12.30pm on Friday 7 March, continue from 9am to 5pm on Saturday 8 March, and culminate on Sunday 9 March with the Medal Rounds. Entry is free!
“If you’ve never soon boccia in action, come along to watch the premier competition in the State,” Ms Clark says.
“You won’t be disappointed.”
For any athletes who are planning to compete and have not yet registered, please do so before midnight on 31 January.
