Several moderators monitor the forums. Members can make contributions once account authentication has been completed. Each forum has a specific moderator. If you have any problems with a particular forum, its moderator is your first port of call. They have the authority to make decisions regarding forum and user management, including the authority to ban users according to these terms & conditions.
Contributions to the forums (whether original posts or replies) are to be free of abusive language, not to link to abusive or offensive material and made in a respectful manner. The forums are intended to be a safe social space for people living with disability, focused on their needs and interests. Carers and people not living with disability are also welcome.
Any user engaging in abusive behaviour will be warned and subject to post moderation. A ‘three strikes’ policy is in place; users who violate these standards will be banned on their third ‘strike;’ however, Moderators and Administrators may exercise their discretion and ban any user immediately on posting abusive or offensive content, including links to such content.
Any user posting ‘spam’ (irrelevant or unsolicited messages or posts, which may be for the purposes of advertising, phishing, or spreading harmful code) will receive a warning from a Moderator. Further breaches will result in that user being banned from forum use. Accounts which produce only spam will be immediately banned and deleted.
This feature has been enabled on the forums to ensure Members can communicate privately with each other. The standards which apply to forum posts (no abusive language, respectful communication) also apply to communicating via Private Message.
