The ParaQuad Association of Tasmania wishes to congratulate Patrick Best for his achievements competing in the 2018 NSW Elite & Aus Para Track Championships. Patrick placed 2nd in both the Para C4 Men’s Individual Time Trial and Para C4 Men Individual Pursuit Finals. Well done on your efforts Patrick!
On Saturday 2nd December, the Southern Parrots travelled to the Somerset Recreation Centre to do battle with
the Northern Ringtails in a game of Wheelchair Aussie Rules.
The ringtails started strong but could not break through the parrots defence. The parrots controlled the football
and established a lead which they held until the end of the game. Jamie ‘Rodeo’ Elphinstone and
Wayne ‘The Blade’ Ball put in a strong performance for the Ringtails with Josh ‘JL’ Langford and
Joe ‘Solid Hands’ Chivers playing well for the Parrots. The players then spilt into teams for some training in preparation of 2018 nationals in Melbourne.
The next round of the Island Clash will be at the Moonah Sports Stadium in February 2018.
If you are interested in playing or being involved in Wheelchair Aussie Rules please contact our Sports Development Coordinator.
